As any other icon, the Empire State Building is a difficult subject for a travel photographer who has limited time and opportunities.
How to capture something that might feel slightly different from the other tens of thousands of images taken daily ?
There is probably no simple recipe.
Great photographers will probably just follow their instinct, and that will be sufficient.
For others including myself, varying angle, distance, time, or, pushing the symbol to the background can possibly help…and if not, at least we tried !
