Interlaced

When going close enough, even the most familiar objects can become abstract and graphical. Take advantage of a nice soft light to have a full grey scale, enhance the local micro contrast when developing (much easier now than with argentic photo prints), and enjoy nature curves and lines.

Frozen

Early in the morning in winter, walking down the stairs from the parking to the office… This is why I always keep the small RX100 in my pocket…

With no transition at all from India, some work done at home, experimenting with 2 studio flashes, one for the subject and one to overexpose and whiten the background.

Some were looking like basic rafts, some were visibly more robust, all were in quite poor condition. Surprisingly, I […]

Chennai, 7:28am

It was during the first of a yearly event my company was setting up, and it was in India. There was still one day to go, and as always, I woke up early enough to walk alone and discover the area. Being just on the seafront, our brand new hotel was surrounded with unfinished grey […]

Arches

Years ago, an experienced photographer who was not yet a friend taught me that while very few images are strong enough to be presented alone, some others could benefit from being grouped in a consistent set, ideally with multiple reading axis. There is nothing exceptional with the following pictures from the Moab area, but it […]
